The other day I recited a joke to two Roman Catholic Priests

Two lawyers presented themselves at the pearly white gates of Heaven seeking entry. When confronted they were asked what they had done on earth. They both replied enthusiastically “We were lawyers and very good ones at that for all our working lives” The gatekeeper replied “Sorry we cannot and do not take Lawyers up here” They looked at each other and were horrified as they had never lost in their lives. Then one said to the Gatekeeper “Look at that guy over there” “Who is he?” “He looks very like a lawyer if ever he had seen one” The gatekeeper replied “That is God!” The two priests roared with laughter saying: “In our last life we were both lawyers”.
